Easter Brunch
The Colonnade at Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is the place to be in America’s capital city for Easter Sunday Brunch on April 5th. The first seating begins at 11:00 am and the second seating at 2:30 p.m. For 40 years, holiday dining in the Colonnade has become a tradition for Washingtonians and visitors alike. Filled with greenery and bathed in natural sunlight, with soaring ceilings, glass walls and crystal chandeliers, the setting provides the perfect surroundings for the festive spring dining experience.
During brunch, the Easter Bunny will visit with children of all ages and, an electric
violinist will provide musical entertainment. Easter egg hunts will take place in the courtyard at 1pm and at 4pm for children, after they have finished enjoying Easter Brunch in the Colonnade. Executive Chef Jaime Montes de Oca, and Executive Pastry Chef Lyndsey Barton are preparing a variety of regional favorites and innovative gourmet specialties, all artfully styled in seemingly infinite buffets.
Start the feast with the chefs’ bountiful salad, cheese and charcuterie spread. A seafood
display features Chesapeake oysters, jumbo poached shrimp, snow crab, marinated mussels
and Peruvian ceviche.
Easter entrée selections include a carving station of sweet & sour glazed ham and lemon
& oregano marinated leg of lamb. Chef Montes de Oca’s signature dishes, organic roasted
chicken, soy marinated Chilean sea bass and black angus beef medallions, are back by popular
demand. Brunch classics including house-made pastries, a cage free egg and omelet station, Eggs
Benedict, Belgian waffles and French toast are just a sampling of the many offerings on the Easter buffet.
The children’s buffet includes crispy chicken tenders, beef sliders, potato latke, buttered
broccoli and the ever-popular baked macaroni and cheese.
Save room for Executive Pastry Chef Lyndsey Barton’s decadent Easter dessert display
– guaranteed to please any sweet tooth. Madagascar vanilla tarts, floral cupcakes, carrot cake with pineapple confit, mango cheesecake macarons and chocolate vanilla pot de crème are just a sampling of her decadent dessert delights.
The Colonnade is located in Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown at 2401 M St.,
NW, in the city’s stylish West End. Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 5, offers two seatings,
11:00am and second at 2:30pm. Priced at $169 per person, includes a glass of sparkling wine.
Brunch is $79 for children 6 to 12 years old and free for children under 5 years of age. Coat
check and complimentary valet parking is included.
